Shakeeb Abu Hamdan is a Lebanese-British musician and visual artist based in Paris. He uses drums, bells and cymbals, augmenting and amplifying them with surface transducers, microphones, pitch and rhythmic modulation effects, modified megaphones, and other electronic devices. His performances develop through open structures, leaving room for generative accidents and improvisation in response to the instabilities of feedback and the unpredictable interactions of his instrumental system.
He has performed at Beirut Art Centre, Real No Real Festival (Madrid), GMEA (Albi), Fylkingen (Stockholm), Les Instants Chavirés (Montreuil), Colour Out of Space Festival (Brighton) and Cafe OTO (London).
