Verandiproject
Argentine-born, Berlin-based composer and producer Mario Verandi has a long term fascination with exploring the blurring of musical genres. This has led him to develop a personal sound universe difficult to classify. Mario´s music draws from a distinctive combination of modern classical, ambient and electronic music. The classical music influence spreads an aura of mystery in Mario´s music and the experimental electronics introduce unpredictability and exploration, allowing unconventional textures and sounds to emerge. Mario Verandi and Franziska Salker will play a selection of compositions from Mario’s recently released album.
Mario Verandi: synthesizer, electronics
Franziska Salker: heldertenor, bassrecorder, electronics

First Body works within the framework of ambient electroacoustics, with strong influences from the fields of contemporary music, jazz and free improvisation. Since 2022, they have been working with various acoustically amplified wind instruments (recorders, saxophone) and processing their signals electronically using various effect pedals and harmonizer. This instrumentation in the interplay of acoustic and electronic signals offers extremely complex and multi-layered possibilities to process signals, to improvise in their exchange and interplay and to compose their own music.
Johanna Klein: saxophone, voice
Franziska Salker: heldertenor, bassrecorder, paetzold doublebass
Tyler Habeck: effects processing, field recordings
Ethan Houser: harmonizer, synth
