Aidan Baker (bass), Han-earl Park (guitar), and Katharina Schmidt (percussion) first began playing together as Thoughts of Trio in Berlin in 2023 exploring fragmentary ambient, occasionally acerbic, sounds, bridging the worlds of free jazz and experimental electronic music. Aidan Baker is a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, originally from Canada but based in Berlin for the last decade. He has toured and performed around the world, both solo and with various ensembles - most notably the duo Nadja - and released numerous albums with such labels as Karlrecords, Important Records, Midira Records, and Gizeh Records.

Katharina Schmidt is a multi-instrumentalist from Berlin. Her music uses electronics, field recordings, and self-built interfaces alongside acoustic instruments. From sonifications to lullabies, her work is poised between formal experimentation and narratives cued by literature and pop culture. She has releases on such labels as enmossed, Flag Day Recordings, Vertical Music, Midira and Slaapwel Records.
