Cinna Peyghamy’s live act is a groundbreaking exploration of sonic realms, marrying the traditional resonance of tombak with the avant-garde possibilities of the modular synthesizer. Improvised sequences unfolds like a mesmerizing journey, seamlessly intertwining Persian percussion and electronic innovation. Peyghamy’s mastery of the tombak anchors the set, providing a rhythmic foundation that resonates with cultural depth. The modular synthesizer, however, adds an ethereal, futuristic layer, creating a harmonious blend that defies genre boundaries.

Cinna Peyghamy is a composer and sound artist, born in France from Iranian parents. His recent work focuses on blending the boundaries between acoustic and electronic instruments. The tombak, a traditionnal persian percussion, is enhanced by the sonic possibilities of the modular synthesizer. Cinna leads the dialogue between these two sonic entities and explores the never-ending improvisation field created by this hybrid setup.
