Stephen Flinn, Jung-Jae Kim, and Dasom Baek coexist within a shared acoustic space, each bringing their unique backgrounds and cultural perspectives to the forefront. At the intersection of East and West, their music is born from small, delicate, and exquisitely refined sound sources, blending traditions and techniques from different worlds. Together, they cautiously navigate the depths of silence, creating meditative waves and moments of tranquil stillness. Through their interactions—with one another, with the space, and with the present moment—they harmonize diverse energies and sketch a soundscape that bridges their distinct origins, forming a universe both intimate and expansive.

Stephen Flinn is a Berlin-based composer, performer, and improviser who performs throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. As a percussionist, he is known for the ability to match the textures of his collaborators and create momentum through nuance. Stephen has been active in spontaneous improvisation/new music for over 30 years, and has recorded and performed with many internationally recognised improvisers, such as Steve Beresford, Z’EV, Cecil Taylor Lol Coxhill, Axel Dorner, Michael Lytle, Denman Maroney, and many others. He is acknowledged for his work over the last quarter century with Autistic children, teens and adults, using rhythms and the piano to teach positive communication, social skills and academic concepts.

Jung-Jae Kim is a South Korean saxophonist, composer, and improviser based in Berlin. He pushes the boundaries of sonic aesthetics and sound definitions, taking a transdisciplinary approach to explore new possibilities and delve into human senses and communication through free improvisation.

Dasom Baek is a composer, improviser, lecturer and performer of traditional Korean instruments, including Daegeum, Sogeum, Danso and Saenghwang. Dasom pursues ground-breaking and modern music rooted in traditional Korean instrumental performance.
